Ca-Mg-Fe

Cal-Mag-Iron plus Cu-Mn-Zn-Mo-B-N

Fights Common Nutrient Deficiency Symptoms
Contains Cal-Mag PLUS iron, copper, manganese, zinc, molybdenum, boron and nitrogen — This is necessary because common deficiencies are caused by these 9 elements, never just Cal-Mag
Helps prevent leaf yellowing, leaf curl, stunted growth, withered fruit-set and bud rot
The trace elements in Ca-Mg-Fe are made from alkaline-resistant compounds that can cope with pH levels up to 10 — Alternative trace element species however become unstable at much lower pH’s, which is why trace element deficiencies are so common
100% compatible with all liquid or powdered base nutrients

Ca-Mg-Fe ProPowder

Dissolves fully within minutes even in hard or cold water
Can be added dry to reservoir, or made into highly stable stock solutions for use with auto-dosers
Each batch of FloraMax is manufactured by our in-house chemists and undergoes rigorous quality testing before bottling, ensuring consistent performance and reliable yields from each crop.
Dosage

  • Liquid: 1-2ml/L (4-8ml/Gal)
  •
  • ProPowder: 0.3-0.6g/L (1.2-2.3g/Gal)
Timing: As required during veg and flower.
FloraMax liquids can be substituted with their powdered version, and vice versa.
Powders can be added dry to reservoir as a dry pre-mix or individually, or made into stock solutions.

When Using FloraMax, do I Need to Use Ca-Mg-Fe?

No, provided the EC and feed regime are both adequate. The FloraMax line has sufficient Cal-Mag In its base nutrients and Flowering Enhancer. Over hundreds of test grows during the development phase there was never any need for a dedicated Cal-Mag additive. Deficiencies are only ever likely to occur if growers are underfeeding, or if running excessive PPFD, VPD or CO2. In the latter case add 1-2ml/L (4-8ml/Gal) of Veg-1 or FloraMax Ca-Mg-Fe. If this fails to fix the problem within 1-2 weeks, then the issue is probably not due to Cal-Mag or trace elements.

Nutrient Deficiencies?

In over 90% of the “alleged” deficiency incidents that we have responded to (with FloraMax), the grower has either failed to follow the chart or maintain the correct environment. Deficiencies are only ever likely to occur if growers are underfeeding, or running excessive pH, PPFD, VPD or CO2. In the latter cases, add 1-2ml/L (4-8ml/Gal) of FloraMax Ca-Mg-Fe or Veg-1. If this fails to fix the problem within 1-2 weeks, then the issue is probably not due to Cal-Mag or trace elements.

NOTE: If a nutrient solution is deficient, Ca-Mg-Fe is the most effective and efficient way of rectifying the issue. Increasing EC by increasing the base nutrient dose is a common remedy, however, the most likely elements to be deficient in ‘most’ nutrient solutions are those contained within Ca-Mg-Fe – and is therefore why we recommend it for this purpose.

Can Cal-Mag Additives or Base Nutrients be Used as Foliar Sprays?

These are NOT recommended for use as foliar sprays. Firstly, the calcium in Cal-Mag additives (and base nutrients) will cause white staining on the surface of foliage. During daylight (lights-on), this can hinder photosynthesis and cause burning of foliage (aka “necrosis”). Also, the nutrient species used in Cal-Mags or base nutrients are not ideally suited for uptake via stomata. For maximum uptake and efficacy, it is best to use a specialized foliar spray such as FloraMax Clone Spray. This can be used for seedlings and clones, then throughout veg and in early bloom through to about week 3 or 4 – but generally not later than this. The ingredients in Clone Spray are designed for maximum uptake via stomata and will impart the necessary benefits desired from a foliar spray e.g. improved foliage growth, increased number and quality of bud sites, improved plant structure and increased root mass.
